A really interesting and fun day was enjoyed by those who got involved in the Go Green Fun Day. Activities included willow weaving, T-shirt and ecobag printing, banner making, and jewellry making. There was also jelly making using blackberries and crab apples picked from the churchyard, and digital photography. Churchyard nature searches included tree and lichen identification and there was a tour of the bell-tower. Some of the activities such as banner-making have produced items to enhance the Sunday worship in church.
The Go Green Fun Day was planned as part of the Creationtime season which All Saints is observing through September and October. During this season the focus of our worship is God as Creator and the wonder of creation. As a church we are also being challenged about changes in lifestyle we could make to increase the sustainability and to respect and care for God’s creation.
