David Hodgson writes: New choir stalls were installed during the week and I dedicated them today with a brief prayer in the Parish Communion service. The choir stalls have been donated by senior choir member David Jacques in memory of his wife Valerie who died two years ago this week. The choir stalls have been made by Windmill Furniture of Chiswick London in European oak. They are modelled on choir stalls made by the same company for Portsmouth Cathedral. The stalls are designed for flexibility of use – they can be picked up and repositioned by one ot two persons without difficulty. The colour of the wood matches other furniture on the platform including the altar, lectern and chairs installed about 9 years ago.
