Cut the Carbon

British churches’ aid agency Christian Aid today launches the longest protest march in British history to raise awareness of the urgent need to cut carbon emissions. Marchers will spend 80 days walking 1000 miles from Northern Ireland through Scotland, Wales and England, culminating in a rally in the financial heart of the UK , the City of London, to call upon corporations and government to act urgently now to cut carbon. The aid agency’s campaign on climate change, Cut the Carbon, is highlighting the effect this is having on poor people in the world now.
